Scholarship Supports Hard Working, Innovative Students

Birch Equipment awarded its first scholarship with Bellingham Technical College. The $1,500 endowed  scholarship supports eligible students in the Diesel Mechanic Program. It’s first recipient, Scott Fuhrman, was honored at an awards breakfast this month, and he has been invited to the Bellingham facility to meet Birch’s maintenance and management team. Fuhrman will enjoy lunch and receive a tour of one of the company’s shops. Birch Equipment offers internships to high school and college students, allowing them to work with the best in the industry at a company known for its high-level innovative sophisticated thinking and grit.

“We are thrilled with our new partnership with Birch Equipment,” said Dean Fulton, BTC Foundation Executive Director. “In 2017, proceeds from the Foundation Endowed Scholarships provided more than $100K to our student scholarships. We look forward to this continued support from Birch, a local dynamic business with great employee retention that provides apprenticeships, internships and career opportunities in our communities.”
